A rare piece awaits you — an exceptional LeCoultre from the 1950s.

Why “LeCoultre” alone on the dial, without “Jaeger”? That detail is no coincidence: between the 1940s and 1970s, the manufacture used only “LeCoultre” on watches intended for the American market. A discreet marking that now makes these pieces especially distinctive in the eyes of knowledgeable collectors.

Another rare feature: the case is marked 10 carats gold filled. Behind this vintage term lies a forgotten craft — a thick layer of gold permanently bonded to the base metal, between 50 and 100,000 times thicker than a simple plating. To qualify as “gold filled,” the piece must contain at least 1/20th of its total weight in gold. A kind of workmanship from another era: honest and durable.

Inside, the Jaeger-LeCoultre K480/CW manufacture caliber reveals the care devoted to these watches: manual winding, refined finishing with anglage and Geneva stripes. A movement to admire as much as to wear.
